Initially 4.5 months turned into 6 months in my rooftop tent to (re)discover the country I’ve been living in for the past few years.
A story of travels.
My story of travels.
But also more than just another travel.
For the first time in my career, I got laid off - so I decided, despite the culture and opinions surrounding me, that I didn’t want to make it a non event, move on as fast as it happened and not let it affect my ego, self confidence and self esteem.
I wanted it to be an event.
I wanted it to affect me.
Because I felt it had the potential to be a defining moment in my life.
When, being at a crossroad I could chose to do the expected (look for and find another job as quickly as possible), I chose instead to do what felt right to me: turn to the outdoors and step into the wild, embarking on a literal and spiritual journey to get clarity and perspective on what should be next.
I needed to transform this rather unsettling experience into something positive, something I could be in charge of, something I could decide for myself.
And I wanted it to be epic.
